Which Unvented Cylinder From Thermsaver?

The unvented hot water cylinder is a sealed pressurised hot water store providing high flow rates for domestic and commercial properties.

The range covering capacities 125ltr to 500ltr comprises of a vertical or horizontal "stand alone" stainless steel storage cylinder which can be specified as direct or indirect (coil type). A maximum flow rate of 55ltr per minute is achievable given an adequate mains water supply and pressure. The direct is electrically heated with immersion heaters whereas the indirect is connected to a boiler or alternative heat source. Each cylinder has factory applied rigid polyurethane foam insulation (CFC and HCFC Free) for increased performance.

Horizontal And Vertical Options

With no requirement for cold water storage system (which means fewer connections) unvented cylinders can be located in any convenient space (kitchen, bathroom and the garage) freeing roof space and lowering installation costs.

The unvented cylinder gives mains pressure hot water to all outlets and provides a very fast hot water recovery. The combination of high flow rate and fast recovery makes the stainless steel unvented cylinders ideal for any property with one or more bathrooms.

Advantages of Unvented Systems

  • Easy to install
  • Balanced hot and cold supply to all outlets at controlled pressure
  • No tanks in roof space
  • Drinking water at all cold taps
  • Cylinder siting virtually anywhere in the property
  • Stylish appearance
  • All cylinders conform to building regulations G3
  • Supplied complete with a full set of safety controls
  • Long life and low maintenance

The Small Print

An unvented cylinder must be installed by a qualified competent person and to the manufactures instructions to part G3 Building Regulations England and Wales. P3 Scotland and P5 N.I.

For ease of installation we would recommend the Thermsaver range of unvented cylinder with internal pressure vessel giving a saving on materials and installation costs. We also have a range of Unvented cylinders with external expansion vessel.

For application where height is a problem for the installation of the unvented cylinder we would recommend the horizontal stainless steel unvented cylinder. This is supplied with cradles, external expansion vessel and all necessary safety valves and controls.

The direct models have 2 x 3kw immersion heaters supplied as standard. The indirect has 1 x 3kw immersion heater (back up).

When siting the unvented cylinder please note for support purposes that 1ltr of water is equivalent to one kilo in weight.
