The features and benefits of warm water underfloor heating fall into several important categories. We have some listed below:

Comfortable and relaxed with underfloor heating
  • There are no hot surfaces to touch.
  • There are no sharp edges on which to injure yourself.
  • Underfloor heating is safe and creates no fire risk.
  • Floors are kept dry, reducing the risk of slipping on wet surfaces.
  • Can be used to keep outside paths or driveways ice and slip free.
  • Swimming pool sides are dry and slip free.

  • Since the pex pipes are made from high tech plastic, they are immune to corrosion and/or lime-scale build up. In turn, the low friction results in higher flow rates.
  • This system operates at little more than bath water temperature through the pex pipework which expands inwardly when heated. Heat is transferred safely without cracking the floors above.
  • There is little convection created and this in turn means a reduction in heat loss through ceilings/roofs.
  • Energy emission is solely at floor level eliminating any floor draughts. The energy is concentrated where it is needed in the bottom 2 metre zone. We don't occupy the ceiling zone.
  • Normally the whole floor area is raised a few degrees more than the room temperature to provide comfort.

  • The system is invisible to the eye. This leaves the walls completely free for creative interior design.
  • No exposed pipework.
  • Tiled and hardwood floors are no longer chilly.
  • The available floor area is increased, since the heating is under the floor.
  • Any wall and floor finish can be accommodated.
  • The system is silent.

No hot radiators and an easy clean, quick drying drying floor
  • There is no carbonisation of dust and subsequent heat staining at the low temperatures used by underfloor heating.
  • Moisture is reduced at floor level to very low levels preventing the growth of bacteria and build up of allergens. The dust mite cannot colonise very easily with underfloor heating systems.
  • The underfloor heating produces warm dry floors eliminating cold spots and convection currents. Asthma and allergy sufferers benefit from reduced dust levels and the gentle heat ensures a very comfortable environment.

  • Pex underfloor heating pipework is guaranteed against manufacturing defects for 10 years.
  • There are no joints below below the floor, and therefore no maintenance is required.
  • The systems are designed to meet the latest British and European Standards for construction in compliance with the current Building Regulations and regard to thermal insulation thickness and uniformly distributed or point load requirements.
