The range of balanced flue kits are available for boilers from 50,000 btu - 120,000 btu, with a separate range of kits available for boilers 120,000 - 170,000 btu. Boilers of 170,000+ btu can only use a conventional flue.
which burners are used on the thermsaver oil boilers?
go to the top of the pageThe boilers are manufactured with the Sterling burner (same as Worcester).
can an oil boiler be sited outside?
go to the top of the pageYes. We can supply, 50,000-70,000, 70,000-90.000, 90,000-120,000 btu standard boilers or combi and system boilers complete in a galvanised enclosure. This includes the flue and a free of charge frost stat. The obvious benefit of this is that it takes the boiler outside of the house or kitchen.
why should i consider an oil combination boiler?
go to the top of the pageA combi boiler does not need water header tanks or hot water cylinders. Oil and water are connected to the boiler which provides instantaneous hot water at 3½ gallons per minute (much better than a gas combi). A mixing valve is supplied which blends the hot water temperature to the customers requirements. Heating is provided to the radiators from the pump within the boiler. The boiler is complete with mixing valve, filling loop, fitted time clock and pressure reducing valve.
do thermsaver oil boilers comply to sedbuk ratings?
go to the top of the pageYes. The thermsaver range of standard efficiency oil boilers are listed under Band C in the SEDBUK ratings, while our range of condensing oil boilers are listed under Band A.
why should i use a system boiler?
go to the top of the pageA system boiler is like a combi without instantaneous hot water. It requires no header tank and can be fed directly with oil and water. It is ideally used with new systems, underfloor heating and in conjunction with our range of Telford Stainless Steel Unvented Cylinders.
what are the commissioning and servicing requirements?
go to the top of the pageAny oil boiler must be commissioned by a qualified OFTEC oil engineer. The commissioning report should be completed and sent to thermsaver. Servicing should also be undertaken by an OFTEC engineer. A list of local engineers can be found on the oftec web site or in your local yellow pages.
