Installation of Unvented Hot Water Cylinders
Please note, unvented cylinders MUST be installed by a qualified and competent person, and to the manufacturing instructions. This falls in line with G3 Building Regulations in England and Wales, P3 in Scotland and P5 in Northern Ireland.
In order to ease the installation process, Thermsaver recommends our range of unvented cylinders with internal pressure vessels, which give a saving on materials and installation costs.
However, if these are not suitable for your property we also have a range of Unvented Cylinders with external expansion vessels available.
In installations where height is at a minimum, Thermsaver recommends our horizontal stainless steel unvented cylinders. These are supplied with cradles, external expansion vessels and all necessary safety valves and controls.
Our direct models have 2×3 Kw immersion heaters supplied as standard. Our indirect models have 1x3Kw immersion heaters (back up).
When siting an unvented cylinder please note that 1litre of water = 1kilo in weight.
